Park Seung-gyu also started as the eighth batter and left fielder on the day and faced Gamboa for the "second time" and hit a hit.  

Park Seung-gyu, who entered the batter's box with two outs and a runner on first base in the second inning, hit Gamboa's four-ball 153km four-seam fastball to lead to a hit to the right. 

Park Seung-gyu's hit opened the scoring for Samsung. After Lee Sung-kyu got on base with a hit ball against the shaky Gamboa, Kim Ji-chan's infield hit and opponent error earned the first run. After that, he added one more point with a triple steal that caught Gamboa's windup. While Gamboa bent with his back to third base, the third baseman succeeded in home steal. After that, Samsung added another point with a wild pitch. This is because Park Seung-gyu shook Gamboa. 

Samsung's strategy was also right. Samsung coach Park Jin-man, who received Gamboa's report in the second division, said before the match, "I was briefed on Gamboa's good pitching," but added, "I tried to find weaknesses internally.
